Never Perfect

* Come join us as we watch a documentary about a young Vietnamese-American woman as she faces the hardships of Asian stereotypes and iconography of an Asian-American. See how beauty has changed over the years. Directed by Regina Park this film is the winner of the Houston Worldfest International Film Festival (2007), Asian Film Festival of Dallas (2007), and the DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival (2007).

Special Olympics Basketball Tournament
Time: 9am
Location: Coles Gym
* NYU sisters supported the Special Olympics Basketball Tournament by cheering on disabled players, providing buddies for the day, and assisted in handing out awards.

* Come and see how different cultures celebrate Lunar New Year, and how consumerism has taken over holidays. Try the different foods that each culture eats on their New Years and certain special holidays. Come and join Kappa Phi Lambda as we learn about holidays in the Asian culture!

New York Cares Day

Location: Morris Ave./176th St
* The sisters of NYU Kappa Phi Lambda will join 8,000 other volunteers to revitalize more than 100 New York City public schools and provide thousands of children with cleaner, safer and more stimulating environments in which to learn and grow. Together, we will add bright new line games to playgrounds, paint murals and classrooms, re-organize libraries and storage closets and so much more. Please visit New York Cares for more information!
